LATEST NEWS:

Retroautos.

Welcome to the first issue of 2012 of RETROAUTOS. We took a break over the festive season to rethink our direction and are now planning a major upgrade of the website in the coming months.

There are three great stories online at the moment. The first is our much anticipated scoop images of the HR Holden coupe. This car only went as far as the drawing board, but it looked a stunner, and we have some never before seen images of it, sourced from our friends at GM Archives in Detroit.

Our second feature is the start of an occasional series about classic cars YOU can afford. This time we profile the VE Valiant.

Legendary American hot rod and speed parts innovator Dean Moon is profiled in our third feature. Who can forget the famous "Moon Eyes" logo? It is still found on cars today all across the world.

Just go to the left hand tool bar and click on 'magazine' and it will take you to these great stories.

And before you go, take a look at the new images in our photo gallery. Click on the 'gallery' button on our tool bar to see some classic Opel images from Germany. We've found images covering the 1930s, 40s 50s and 60s.

We will be changing the stories often in 2012, so be sure to check out the RETROAUTOS website so you will not miss out on a single story.

Upcoming in RETROAUTOS: More Ford Mustang prototypes, the history of Hillman, speedway classics, American autos you can afford in 2012, a visit to the Auburn/Cord/Duesenberg museum and the GM Heritage centre in Detroit and much, much more.
